“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”
(John F. Kennedy)
Did you know that YHC is built on the model of a learning organization? That’s how we roll. Always learning and growing. Falling short and then improving. In the domain of education, this process is called a “mistake-driven” model. It’s especially relevant in scientific experimentation. In the domain of business, this process is called the key to real and sustainable success. How can we lead wisely if we’re not learning from what didn’t work and what did work?
For example, the ever-eager learners Kat and Brad recently upgraded their Yoga Alliance certification to the highest possible level—E-RYT 500. They did that by…learning! Here at YHC we value learning, knowing that learning leads the way to the improvement of services. All YHC teachers strive to offer you the highest quality yoga and/or fitness class possible.
Another example of leadership and learning is our teacher training course (TTC). We are already adhering to the new Yoga Alliance Standards that will come into effect in two years. How did that happen? By learning the new standards and integrating them into the YHC Hot 26+ TTC curriculum NOW. Leaders act in anticipatory ways. That’s how we rock & roll!
And the most amazing news on the leadership front is (drum roll please)…Yoga Alliance has officially approved our YHC Hot 26+ yoga teacher training. YHC is now officially a Registered Yoga School (RYS 200)! This is a HUGE accomplishment as many schools applying for Yoga Alliance’s RYS designation don’t make it through the rigorous Yoga Alliance Standards assurance process. We did it! Look around the studio for our proudly displayed RYS 200 logo.
