Yoga Health Center stands with the Black Community. We firmly believe that racism, hatred, and inequality have no place in our world—and every person has the right to feel safe, seen, and heard.
At the same time, we know that systemic racism is real, It has been persistent and it can’t be wished away. If we want a better world, we have to ACT to create it.
We mourn the senseless killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and all of the victims of racial injustice across the country and around the world. As George Floyd has been laid to rest, we want to be clear that at Yoga Health Center are firm in our belief that Black Lives Matter—and we stand for change, for justice, and for equity.
At Yoga Health Center, we are committed to growing, learning, and evolving. We have spent the past weeks listening more closely and learning from our members, employees, and from voices all across this country. We have been intently focused on identifying immediate steps we can take for our team, our company, and our communities.
Yoga Health Center has long stood for Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion—and that will not change. We are committed to supporting a diverse community. We are stronger because of the diverse talent, diverse backgrounds, and diverse experiences of our team today. But we need to do better.
We will work to ensure better inclusion across our organization, and deliver on plans to continue this conversation with our teams and educate them to ensure we have an inclusive workplace.
We remain committed to keeping our community connected during this complex and historic time. While we do that, we will embrace this moment to use our position to help make change a reality. We are listening and learning, and we accept the challenge to do more and to make a difference.
As a society and as an organization, we simply must do more. We’ve started this important work, and we’ll keep at it until real change is accomplished, and beyond. That’s our commitment.
We are for you. We are with you.
